Care & Ownership

For dry foods only. Wipe with a damp soft cloth and mild dish soap when needed, then wipe clean and dry promptly. Do not soak or put in the dishwasher. Allow the board to dry fully before storage. Occasionally apply a light coat of food-grade mineral oil or a food-safe board wax, following its directions. Avoid fragranced oils and cooking oils that can become rancid.

Established in 1981, Casafina develops its collections around the table and the home, pairing Portuguese artisan stoneware with complementary materials including glass, oak and linen. It is now part of the Portuguese group behind COSTA NOVA. The distinction between those materials is deliberate: a shaped ceramic rim, the visible grain of an oak board and the clear outline of a glass dome each bring a different kind of detail to the same setting. For its stoneware, modern production works alongside extensive manual shaping and decoration, giving the modeled edges and glazed surfaces their individual character.
